조형예술대학 디자인학부, 홍콩 폴리텍대학교 디자인대학과 MOU체결

본교 조형예술대학 디자인학부(학장 최경실)는 지난 2월 27일 (화), 홍콩 폴리텍 대학교(The Hong Kong Polytechnic University) 디자인 대학과 학술교류를 위한 업무협약(MOU)을 체결하였다. 이번 협정과 함께 양교는 향후 다양한 교과 및 비교과 프로그램 운영하고 전시회 및 심포지엄 개최 등 학술 교류 활동을 함께 해나갈 예정이다.
홍콩폴리텍대학교은 글로벌대학평가기관 QS가 발표한 2023 세계대학랭킹 65위이며, 특히 Art and Design 부문은 세계대학랭킹 15위로 아시아를 넘어 세계적 수준으로 평가 받고 있는 명문대학이다.
협정은 2024년 2월부터 향후 2년 간 지속되며, 첫 학술교류 활동으로 디자인학부 공간디자인 전공(전공주임 김연정)이 '2024년 하계 교수 인솔 해외 대학 교류 프로그램: 홍콩 원도심 공간 재생 프로젝트'를 진행할 예정이다. 워크샵 결과물은 온라인 전시회와 글로벌 디자인 매거진 디진(Dezeen) 등을 통해 공유된다. 이를 필두로 양교는 향후 지속가능한 발전과 글로벌 인재양성을 위해 활발한 학술교류 프로그램을 진행할 계획이다.

The Department of Design of the College of Art and Design (Dean Kyung-sil Choi) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for academic exchange with The Hong Kong Polytechnic University School of Design on February 27. With this agreement, the two universities plan to operate various curricular and extracurricular programs and conduct academic exchange activities such as exhibitions and symposiums in the future.
The Hong Kong Polytechnic University is ranked 65th in the 2023 World University Rankings announced by QS. In particular, the Art and Design category is ranked 15th in the world university rankings, making it a prestigious university that is evaluated as a world-class university beyond Asia.
The agreement will last for the next two years from February 2024. As the first academic exchange activity, Spatial Design Major (Dean Yeon Jeong Kim) will conduct the '2024 Summer Professor-led Study Abroad Program: Hong Kong Old Downtown Urban Revitalization Project'. The workshop results are shared through online exhibitions and the global design magazine Dezeen. With this as a starting point, the two universities plan to conduct active academic exchange programs for sustainable development and nurturing global talents in the future.
