서동석(徐東碩) 교수

Professor Dongseok Suh has been with the Department of Physics at Ewha Womans University in Korea since 2023, where his research lab delves into the development of nanoelectronic devices. These devices are grounded in the use of low-dimensional nanomaterials and the latest semiconductor technologies. With the advent of the artificial intelligence era, his lab is set to focus on the research and development of nanoelectronic devices for AI hardware accelerators, employing a mix of nanomaterials and quantum physical phenomena for their realization. Before joining Ewha Womans University, Professor Suh was part of the Department of Energy Science at Sungkyunkwan University, Korea, from 2013 to 2022. He also spent seven years working at Samsung Electronics in the Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology and the Semiconductor Research Center, concentrating on phase-change memory and time-of-flight image sensor. Additionally, he devoted three years to researching carbon nanotubes at the NanoTech Institute, University of Texas at Dallas, USA. Professor Suh's academic credentials include B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in Physics, all obtained from Seoul National University in Korea from 1992 to 2002.
