김형래 명예교수

김형래 교수는 의학전문대학원(의과대학) 생화학교실소속 교수로 의학유전체 분야 보건의료연구정책 분야의  권위자다. 서울대학교에서 학사, 박사학위를 받았으며, 만성습관성질환의 유전적 배경과 유전적 소인이 식습관 운동습관 등 생활습관과 어떻게 상호작용하여 발병하고 진행하게 되는지, 그리고 이를 조절 가능한 유무형의 방법을 개발하여 질병 악화의 지연, 건강상태의 증진에 기여할 수 있는 것을 목표로 연구를 진행하고 있다. 2006년에는 의과대학 BK21사업단장, 2010년까지는 국립보건연구원의 유전체센터장 국립보건연구원장으로 재직하면서 한국의 인간유전체연구가 국제경쟁력있는 수준으로 도약하는데 기여하였다. 2011년부터 2014년까지 차세대맞춤의료유전체사업단장을 역임하면서 국제암컨소시엄인 ICGC에 가입 활동하게 함으로서 한국의 질병유전체연구의 국제화와 임상현장에 이식되는 유전체실용화에 크게 기여하였다. 2011년에는 한국유전체학회장, 2013년에는 생화학분자생물학회장을 역임하였다. 현재는 보건의료의 글로벌한 핫이슈인 만성질환-비만에 대한 연구로, 유전체학, 성격과 심리학, 수면-우울-인지저하, 신경-뇌이미징, 장내미생물-영양학 등의 의학부터 사회학까지 통섭하는 다학제연구를 연구를 수행 중에 있으며, 현재까지 총 90여편의 논문을 SCI급 국제학술지에 발표했다.
