Founded in 1950 in order to raise talents that would serve in the field of law, the current name was decided on in 1969. Graduates work in academic, law, and education fields as well as administrative, diplomatic, financial, and political fields.

The Aim of Education

Ewha College of Law provides students with most courses required for bar examination, civil servant examinations as mandatory major courses. Further, law students may take various other courses as selective courses.
During the fourth year, in particular, the College offers seminars and case oriented courses in order to develop analytical thinking, problem-solving, research skills needed for real world success. In addition to the regular courses, students enjoy academic societies activity, International Humanitarian Law moot court, criminal law moot court, civil law moot court, constitutional law symposia, and participate in various social service activities during vacation.
Law graduates work in the academic, law, and education fields as well as finance, politics, media, corporations, and patent law, etc.

Careers and Graduate School Destination

The alumni of Ewha College of Law work in the fields of law, academia, education and administration, diplomacy, politics, finance, business, legal aid, the NGO sector for gender issues, and others.
