Office of the Chaplain
The Chaplain’s Office connects the Ewha community to our Christian founding principles.
Christian faith has been a vital element in education at Ewha from the beginning of its history. However, the Chaplain’s Office was only officially instituted in 1953 when Shinchon campus was being restored after the Korean war. During the last century or so, expressions of such faith in various activities on campus have seen many changes, but our core Christian values remain an integral part of life at Ewha. The Chaplain’s Office is responsible for the chapel services that sustain the Ewha founding spirit and maintain our sense of community and also oversees the multifaced religious activities on campus.
