At the Main Gate

Ewha Welcome Center The Welcome Center at Ewha Womans University, established in 2013, is the first of its kind to open on a university campus in Korea comprising an information desk, an exhibition lounge and a gift shop.

The information desk offers maps and other materials to assist visitors in experiencing the Ewha campus. In the exhibition lounge, permanent display highlighting the university’s history, traditions and future vision is on view year around. The exhibit starts with an introduction to the symbol and spirit of Ewha as the center of women’s education in Korea, and invites the visitors to engage in interactive multimedia experiences including the History Gallery; Ewha Inside, which showcases the university’s accomplishments and global network; Video Zone featuring promotional films and other visual content on wide screen display; and Photo Zone where visitors can leave comments and share thoughts with other visitors. The gift shop offers a wide selection of official Ewha products and memorabilia for visitors and the university community.

Ewha Welcome Center is open to all—from prospective students of all ages to the Ewha community of some 190,000 alumnae, faculty, staff and students, but to visitors from near and far. The Center opens Monday to Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Campus Tour

Ewha was the first university in Korea to begin offering campus tours led by student guides in 1997. The tours provide a chance for visitors to walk through the verdant campus and learn about the tradition and vision of Ewha as the hub of global women’s education and the cradle of female leaders while getting a glimpse of life at the university.

Groups of 15 or more prospective students from middle or high schools, youth organizations and other private educational institutions can book a student-guided campus tour. Tours are also provided in English or other languages upon request. Middle or high school students from outside of Korea are advised to inquire about this program via email ( ).
