The Graduate School of Nursing

Overview

Ewha Womans University Graduate School of Nursing was established in 2026 within the College of Nursing, building on a distinguished tradition that began in 1903 with Korea’s first nursing education institution. Rooted in this legacy, the College launched the nation’s first undergraduate nursing program in 1955 and a master’s program in 1960, laying the foundation for modern nursing education in Korea. Drawing on this history, the College of Nursing has continued to advance educational innovation as a pioneering and leading institution in Korean nursing education. Since introducing a master’s program for Advanced Practice Nurses in 2004, it has cultivated highly skilled clinical professionals; this program was further strengthened through its integration into the Graduate School of Nursing in 2026. The School provides a structured pathway for practicing nurses to develop advanced clinical expertise and sound clinical judgment. With specialized tracks in Clinical Nursing Education, Global Health and Nursing Policy, and Precision Nursing, it prepares graduates to lead in clinical practice, education, policy, and technology-driven healthcare, and to broaden the scope and impact of nursing in a rapidly evolving healthcare environment.
