EGISE(Ewha Global Institute for Sustainable Partnership and Empowerment) is pleased to present a special lecture by Professor Zorana Jovanovic Andersen, a world-renowned scholar in public health and environmental epidemiology at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark, as the fourth lecture in the Ewha Womans University 140th Anniversary Global Leader Lecture Series.


Professor Andersen is a leading researcher in the health impacts of various environmental exposures, including air pollution and climate change. She currently serves as Chair of the Advocacy Council of the European Respiratory Society (ERS). 

Her research has particularly focused on the effects of air pollution and extreme weather events on respiratory and cardiovascular health, as well as health inequities. She has also played a leading international role in advancing academic and policy discussions on climate change and health.


In this lecture, Professor Andersen will explore the health impacts of climate change and environmental exposures based on scientific evidence and discuss directions for international collaboration, policy, and action in response to the climate and health crisis.
