Completion of “Korean Teacher Training Program in Thailand” organized by GSIS

“Korean Teacher Training Program in Thailand” was successfully completed on April 2, 2022, which has been operated at the royal Chulalongkorn University, Thailand, and participated by the Department of Korean Studies at Ewha Graduate School of International Studies (GSIS) as part of the domestic business project. The “Korean Teacher Training Program in Thailand” was the part of the “Overseas Korean Teacher Training System Development Business,” cooperatively operated by the Korean Education Center in Thailand, Chulalongkorn University, and Ewha Womans University.
The completion ceremony was attended by 30 participants, including Suradech Chotiudompant, the dean of the Faculty of Arts at Chulalongkorn University, Lee Wook-heon, the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Thailand, Park Sun-hee, the professor of Korean Studies at GSIS, and Kim Kwang-joong, the vice president of the Korean Education Center in Thailand. After the participants were introduced, the certificates were delivered at the ceremony. Professor Park Sun-hee (Professor of Korean Studies at GSIS) said, “This Korean teacher training program would have fostered the basic knowledge and teaching-learning skills in Korean language education,” adding, “We expect the promising future of Thai pre-service teachers and remarkable development of Korean language education in Thailand.”
