Central Library signs MOU with Naver

Last January 3rd (Monday), the Central Library(Head Director Mi-kyoung Cha) signed a virtual Memorandum of Understanding with Naver for a co-development of an academic research platform.
The two institutions agreed to cooperate to mutual benefit by sharing experiences on building research information data, derivation of requirements for academic information collection and management function of university institutions, verification on platform usability and data and more. Naver has developed a global research evaluation system called Scholytics in 2020, and has been providing it to domestic universities and institutions.

Director Cha has mentioned that “this agreement will be a good example of industry-academic cooperation that could combine Naver's excellent technology, work experience, and professional capabilities of our library.”
“Just as Naver localized its search engine, we are willing to meet the demand of domestic universities through the localization of its research performance evaluation system,” said Yoo Bong-seok, general manager of service management at Naver. "We also expect to accelerate the process through collaboration with Ewha Woman’s University Library," he added.
The Ewha Central Library has been collecting, building, and managing research performance information of researchers, and has been providing various researcher support services based on the established information. Through this MOU, the library will streamline the process of collecting research data and provide more advanced customized research information analysis services for students and researchers.
