Professor Jae Hyung Do of Ewha Law School was appointed as Presidential Secretary for Employment and Labor on July 27, 2020.
After passing the 33rd bar exam, Professor Do served as a lawyer at Duksu Law Offices. He has been a professor at Ewha Law School since 2007 and served as a vice-president of the Office of General Administration.
Professor Do has also established his position as an expert in labor law, working in the Korea Society Of Labor Law and the Korean Social Security and Law Association (KSSLA). In addition, Professor Do is an expert in labor-management relations and the employment safety net, serving as a member of public interests at the National Labor Relations Commission and Seoul National Labor Relations Commission, and as a member of the Statutory Interpretation Management Division at the Ministry of Government Legislation. Such profound expertise, administrative ability, and field experiences are some of the reasons for the appointment.
He wrote books including "Introduction to Legal Documents," "Introduction to Legal Ethics," and " The Revitalization of Labor Law—Neo-liberal restructuring and Korean labor law."
