Members of ‘Ambassador Spouses Association in Seoul’ paid a visit to Ewha on April 29th to further educate themselves about the past, present and future of Ewha Womans University, Korea’s top institution for fostering women's leadership. After their productive visit, they promised to promote and advocate their top excelling students, from their respective countries, to study at Ewha.
By visiting various volunteer organizations and activities for cultural experiences, the 'Ambassador Spouses Association in Seoul' hoped to broaden the boundaries of Personal Diplomacy. This was their first visit to a Korean university. The 27 participants included but was not limited to, Mrs. Amal Lahlou, the spouse to the Morocco Ambassador and President of the association, and Mrs. Jahyun Bontemps, an Ewha alumna and spouse to the Belgium Ambassador.
The visitors participated in Professors Sung-Nam Cho's (Director of Ewha Institute for Leadership Development) lecture, “Ewha and Woman Leadership”, and were given a campus tour where they visited the Ewha Archives and Ewha Museums. Additionally, they had the opportunity during lunch to converse with Ewha students from their native countries.
The participating members of ‘Ambassador Spouses Association in Seoul’ are valued highly at Ewha for being global leaders and showing their interests in admission for foreign students and scholarship programs.
