Ewha opened the 'Global Service Center' to better serve the increasing number of foreign members at Ewha and held the opening ceremony on September 28th.

The center will provide services mainly focused on helping the foreign people in the campus including civil services for the existing foreign students as well as for the foreign faculty members with various services.

"All the foreign faculty and students have the equal rights for the benefits Ewha provides in the campus. I hope the center will develop into a convenient and warm place that provides cozy services for the people who seek assistance at Ewha," President Kim Sun-Uk said.

President Kim Sun-Uk, Lee Kyung-Sook, the vice president of academic affairs, Reverent Chung Yong-Suck, foreign faculty, students including regular foreign students and exchange students at Ewha were also present at the ceremony to celebrate the start of the new service center.

Professor Park Chan-Gil, the Dean of Office of Global Affairs said, “The center is meaningful for it is the cornerstone for Ewha to grow into the international university of next level in the practical aspect. The global service center will strengthen the function of the existing office of global affairs. It will help the students on the early settlement stage in Ewha and provide on-campus welfare as well as play the role of the first reception place for foreign guests who visit Ewha."

Daniel Gundersen, an exchange student from Oslo University from Norway said, "We hope that the center will help us have a wonderful campus life at Ewha."
