President Bae Yong Lee visited universities in San Francisco area and Seattle from November 2nd to 12th. Through this visit, Ewha expanded global campus network by increasing the number of "Ewha in California" programs and newly launching “Ewha in Seattle.”

President Lee visited UC Berkeley(University of California, Berkeley), UC Santa Cruz, and UC Davis in San Francisco area and made agreements concerning program partnerships including exchange and visiting student programs. In Seattle, president Lee visited Seattle University and the University of Washington and initiated "Ewha in Seattle" program. In particular, University of Washington will be the focal point to help Ewha foster global leaders in Seattle. "Ewha in California" and "Ewha in Seattle" will further support Ewha’s unique initiative of building global knowledge network.

In addition to the visits to universities, president Lee attended 'Ewha San Francisco Alumnae Conference' on November 2nd and 'International Foundation Council for Ewha Womans University' and 'the 7th Ewha Alumae Regular Meeting of North America Region' on November 8th. At the meeting, President Lee introduced further plans for Ewha Global 2010 Project, Paju Education and Research Complex, and asked for consistent support from alumnae. In spite of the aggravation of the U.S. economy, Ewha alumnae showed love toward Ewha by fundraising 250 thousand dollars.
