Ewha Womans University and Maekyung Media Group held “2019 Ewha-Maekyung Award Ceremony and Performance Presentation for Enterprises with Great Performance in Gender Cooperation” in the headquarters of Maekyung located in Jung-gu, Seoul on November 21.
This ceremony was held to create a social and institutional environment that facilitates women’s entry into society and nurtures both gender-friendly companies, and to establish a future-oriented gender cooperation model. A total of seven companies were selected and awarded for their contribution to gender cooperation.
This year’s grand prize was awarded to Samsung Electronics and Amorepacific Corporation, and the excellence prize was awarded to Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance and SK Innovation. These awardees were acknowledged as future-oriented gender cooperation models for not merely adopting systems for gender cooperation but also effectively putting them into practice and further making them lead to the companies’ outstanding achievement.
