The 31st Faculty Noon Concert: Ewha’s Autumn, Our Music

The 31st Faculty Noon Concert was held at Mid-Sized Auditorium of Graduate School Building on November 14.
During the concert that was held under the theme of “Ewha’s Autumn, Our Music”, outstanding performances were staged by many of the most excellent singers and players in Korea. Daegeum (Korean flute) solo “Cheongseong-gok”, pyeongsijo “A Chrysanthemum Outside the Window”, gagok pyunsudaeyeop “Moraneun”, and geomungo (six-stringed Korean zither) sanjo (free-style solo) “Hangapdeukryu” were performed. The geomungo sanjo was performed by Kim Soyeon, who graduated from the Department of Korean Music of Ewha Womans University and completed the course of Jongmyo jeryeak, the ancient music and dance performed at the Jongmyo Royal Ancestral Shrine, which is designated as Intangible Cultural Properties No. 1
