Communication Disorders

Dr. Young Tae Kim is a professor of Department of Communication Disorders, Collage of Education. She got her M.A. and Ph.D. of Speech-Language Pathology at University of Florida, U.S.A. She had earned Korean and American Clinical Certificates of Competence in Speech-Language Pathology. Her research has focused on child communication disorders (e.g., Autim Spectrum Disorders, Language Intervention, Augmentative and Alternative Communication). She had served as a president of Korean Academy of Communication Disorders for 2 years and president of Ewha Children's Center for Developmental Support for 5 years. She wrote several books such as "Assessment and treatment of language disorders in children", "Single subject design", "Understanding communication disorders". In addition, she had developed several standardized language assessment tools such as REVT, PRES, and SELSI. She also has published many research articles in Korean and international journals.
