Ewha Global Institute for Sustainable Partnership and Empowerment(EGISE): Team Manager Training and Discussion Session
Ewha Global Institute for Sustainable Partnership and Empowerment(hereinafter EGISE) conducted ESG and SDGs training for team managers on February 6, 2026 (Fri) at 11:30 AM in the Jingwan Conference Room on campus. Approximately 30 participants attended the session, taking part in an opportunity to enhance their understanding of sustainability and social value.
ESG, which stands for Environment, Social, and Governance, refers to the key factors that institutions and organizations must consider to achieve sustainable development. SDGs, or the Sustainable Development Goals adopted by the United Nations, comprise 17 global goals including ending poverty, addressing climate change, and ensuring quality education.
The training was designed to help faculty and staff apply ESG and SDGs concepts in their daily work. Specifically, it focused on sharing Ewha Womans University’s various SDGs initiatives, thereby fostering a shared understanding and engagement among members of the organization.
Director Ha Eun-hee of EGISE stated, " ", emphasizing the purpose of the training and its future direction.
During the session, participants gained a clearer understanding of the university’s direction toward sustainable development and discussed ways to actively collaborate in their respective roles. EGISE expects that this training will expand awareness of SDGs beyond students to include faculty and staff, while further strengthening the university’s capacity for implementation.
EGISE will continue to offer regular ESG and SDGs training programs for faculty and staff, ensuring that all members of the Ewha community are well-equipped to fulfill their roles as global citizens in line with international standards.
