1920s Rural Enlightenment Movement During school breaks, Ewha students traveled to rural communities across Korea, teaching Korean literacy and the Bible to children and women. By sharing the knowledge and broader perspectives they had gained through education, they expanded their commitment to community development and social service.

Ewha Volunteer Corps Building on Ewha's long tradition of sharing and service, the Ewha Volunteer Corps has been carrying out educational, construction, and medical volunteer projects both in Korea and abroad since the summer of 2000. Through these activities, Ewha continues to embody its founding Christian values of love and service for neighbors.
