In response to the growing interests in Korean culture and society,
Ewha established Korean Studies at Scranton College in March 2015. The program offers a wide range of courses in humanities and social sciences in English language with an emphasis on the transcultural and multidisciplinary approaches to understanding Korea.

The Aim of Education

Korean Studies at Ewha aims to foster cultural ambassadors of Korea in the international community and promote
global communications and networks between different cultures.
Students majoring in Korean Studies are encouraged to explore various topics in the field of Korean Studies
from past to present and provide an interdisciplinary analysis of Korean culture and society.

Careers and Graduate School Destination

The graduates of Korean Studies may pursue a higher degree in Korean Studies in Korea and abroad; or apply for jobs in private or public sectors such as finance and marketing or the culture and entertainment industries, government administrations, and law.
