The College of Pharmacy has consistently ranked among the top pharmacy schools in the nation and enjoys one of the best reputation among all pharmacy schools in Korea. The College was one of the first to offer pharmacy education in Korea. Our alumnae have long contributed to advancement of principles, sciences, and practice of pharmaceutical care.

1945

The College of Pharmacy was founded as the Dept. of Pharmacy

1951

launched Master's Degree

1954

reformed as Department of Pharmacy in College of Pharmacy

1956

founded Affiliated Medicinal Herb Garden

1960

launched Doctoral Program

1967

The College of Pharmacy established the Dept. of Industrial Pharmacy, to meet demands of the rapidly evolving pharmaceutical industry

1989

founded Research Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences

1995

founded Affiliated Animal Research Facility

1996

The College of Pharmacy opted to run collegiate programs of pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences

2005

The College of Pharmacy has unified the two departmental programs into a single pharmacy program

2006

selected for BK21 Program (continue until now)

2011

The College of Pharmacy has changed to 6year(2+4) program

Two departments, pharmacy and industrial pharmaceutics have been established while the 6year(2+4) program of college of pharmacy

2012

founded Pharmacy Healthcare Communication Center

2013

launched Graduate Program for Industrial Pharmaceutical Science

2014

selected for CK II Program (continue until now)

2015

Anniversary 70 of founded College of Pharmacy

2016

selected Industrial Pharmaceutical Science of Graduate School Program
(continue until now)

The Aim of Education

The objective of pharmacy education is to educate and train qualified pharmacists who can provide pharmacy-related multidisciplinary practices and contribute to human health and welfare.
The specific aims to fulfill this ultimate goal are as follows :

  • To master basic sciences related to pharmaceuticals and foster knowledge needed for better pharmaceutical care.
  • To learn principles essential for drug development, dosage formulation, and manufacturing/quality control of drug products.
  • To become pharmacists who can not only advance pharmacy sciences but also serve the evolving needs of society by delivering excellent pharmaceutical care.
  • To cultivate professional ethics, dedication and commitment essential for improving human health and social welfare.
