Aiming at educating world-class musicians, the Department of Orchestral Instruments offers 15 different instrument major programs with effective and up-to-date curriculum. The department's mission is to produce the professional female musicians who have the highest artistic standards.
To enhance the students' musical abilities, the program includes regular private lessons for individuals as well as ensemble classes such as orchestra, string orchestra, wind-orchestra, and chamber music.

The Aim of Education
- To produce professional musicians well trained in performance skills as well as music theory and music history.
- To develop performance skills through extensive solo, chamber music and orchestra performances.
- To encourage those who want to become music educators, the school offers different music education courses.
Careers and Graduate School Destination
After finishing the undergraduate program, many graduates become a member of an orchestra or music educators. Many also continue their studies in abroad or in our graduate program.
Those who earn their teaching certificate while in school are active as music teachers at various levels. Others may manage private teaching studios or stay in music-related business as magazine or newspaper writers, music managers, public relation coordinators, or music publishers.
