As one of the oldest and the best communication programs in the nation, the Division of Communication and Media at Ewha Womans University offers students a wide variety of courses and a flexible and challenging curriculum designed to encourage students to nurture their cross-media competency not just for the jobs and industries of today, but for the ever-changing mass communication landscape of tomorrow. We provide students with an innovative, interdisciplinary program that combines  theory with practicum in various concentrations of communications including journalism, strategic communication, digital media communications, culture and media, and media industry and law.

Department of Mass Communication established

Master’s Degree program introduced

Doctoral Degree program introduced

Department of Mass Communication renamed as Division of Media Studies, dividing into Journalism, Advertising & PR, and Television & Film majors

The Aim of Education

Multidisciplinary and international in scope, focused and practical in application,
the Division of Communication and Media prepares students to gain mastery over
a broad set of flexible concepts and skills.
Our goal is educate students to be creative actors in global setting
in our rapidly changing communication environment.
