The Department of Christian Studies explores all areas of Christian theology and the interdisciplinary study with the Liberal Arts, such as Philosophy, History, Education, Classical Languages, Social Sciences, and Natural Sciences.

It provides an exceptional curriculum to study biblical studies, systematic theology, church history, Christian ethics, pastoral counseling, Christian education, liturgical studies, and missiology.

The Aim of Education

The Department of Christian Studies focuses on the study of foundational knowledge pertaining to God, humanity and the world. It also studies Christianity in relation to other academic disciplines.

The department's goal is to produce students who will become future leaders as theologians, ministers, educators, and social activists in the 21st century.


The following are the concrete objectives to achieve the educational aim.

1. Develop theological thinking about God, human beings, and the world. 

2. Study Christian theology through interdisciplinary approaches.

3. Empower women's leadership to contribute to Korea, Asia, and the world. 

Careers and Graduate School Destination

Graduates work in various fields such as educational institutions, churches, counseling centers, NGOs, and international organizations. Graduates can aspire to be an outstanding feminist theologian, minister, or counselor.
