Ewha Womans University Museum, signed an MOU with Intellicon Meta Lab

Ewha Womans University Museum (Director: Prof. Namwon Jang) signed an MOU with Intellicon Meta Lab on February 2 on studying AI convergence in culture and arts.


The main contents of the MOU include ▲ Sharing knowledge, data, technology, and ideas ▲ Convergence research on science technology and cultural art ▲ Conference planning for AI research on cultural art.


Through this MOU, the museum will actively introduce the AI system and technology from Intellicon Meta Lab for R&D and visitor services and will create various educational opportunities for AI convergence in culture and arts.


Ewha Womans University Museum, a leading university museum in Korea, holds exhibitions and provide education. It has a wide collection of paintings, crafts, and clothes from prehistoric times to modern times. Intellicon Meta Lab is the first AI-specialized company in Korea pioneering in legal AI and has recently been working on AI technology for art and culture.


"Since its opening in 1935, Ewha Womans University Museum has constantly innovated itself to promote the value of culture and art," said Namwon Jang, the museum's director.  


Youngik Lim, CEO of Intellicon Meta Lab, said, "This MOU will be a catalyst for future research combining cultural content and AI and for nurturing talented people in art, culture, convergence technology." 


The industry-academic agreement between the two institutions will be a new turning point to apply innovative technologies in the Fourth Industrial Revolution into cultural activities such as collection research, planning exhibition, and cultural education.
