Ewha Womans University Holdings (Co-CEOs Jihee Seo and William Cho) has been selected as an operating institution for the Korea Women Venture Association’s “2026 Private-Public Partnership Women Venture & Startup Development Women-Focused Accelerating Program.”

The program is a women-enterprise-focused support initiative jointly organized by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Korea Women Venture Association in cooperation with private accelerators to discover and foster promising women-led ventures and startups while connecting them with investment opportunities.

Since its launch in 2022, the program has established itself as a key initiative supporting the scale-up of women-led startups. Ewha Womans University Holdings was selected as the only university technology holding company among the four operating institutions nationwide and will support the early-stage growth of women-led startups over the next eight months.

Since 2025, Ewha Womans University Holdings has operated “STATION EWHA BATCH,” the nation’s first women-enterprise-exclusive batch program established by a university. Through the program, the company has accumulated experience managing the full acceleration cycle—from recruitment and selection to education and mentoring, demo day, and investment.

Through this project, Ewha Womans University Holdings plans to support investment attraction and growth for women-led startups by:
▲ discovering promising women-founded startups through the Ewha alumnae network and partner institutions
▲ providing dedicated one-on-one mentoring through specialized mentor groups
▲ connecting startups with Ewha Womans University’s infrastructure and affiliated institutions for PoC opportunities
▲ offering direct investment through dedicated funds and follow-up support linked to TIPS and LIPS programs.

Jihee Seo, Co-CEO of Ewha Womans University Holdings, stated, “By combining the accumulated strengths of Ewha’s 140 years of women’s education with the investment execution capabilities of Ewha Womans University Holdings, we will turn the potential of women entrepreneurs into tangible investment outcomes.”
