The Ewha Global Social Responsibility Institute (Director: Ha Eun-hee) has successfully concluded the first cohort of its “Internship Program,” which was designed to enhance Ewha students’ awareness of ESG and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), while expanding opportunities for participation in practice-oriented ESG activities.
This internship program selected outstanding students who had been actively involved in on-campus environmental clubs and ESG-related academic societies. A total of six interns participated all of whom successfully completed the program with excellence. The participants included Jeong Eun-ju (Department of Economics), Heo Yujin (Department of Convergence Content), Yoon Ji-uk (Department of Environmental Engineering), Han Hyewon (Department of Sociology), Seol Minji (Department of Environmental Engineering), and Choi Yeon-woo (Department of Political Science and International Relations).
During the internship, students gained hands-on experience across a range of projects linked to the institute’s core initiatives, deepening their understanding of ESG and sustainability while strengthening their practical competencies. In particular, they achieved tangible outcomes in areas such as planning and operating ESG campaigns; developing and managing the institute’s supporter program “Green for All (G4A)”; building promotional channels and producing content; archiving sustainability reports and website references from domestic and international universities; supporting the organization of the commemorative forum “2025 Planetary Health Forum”; and proposing ideas for ESG practice initiatives.
Through these efforts, the interns went beyond simple participation and played a key role in establishing the operational framework and project structure of the Ewha Global Social Responsibility Institute, which was newly launched last year. Notably, they took the lead in planning and executing ESG campaigns and supporter programs, producing promotional content, and systematizing archiving processes, thereby contributing to the stable establishment of the institute’s core operations.
Director Ha Eun-hee of the Ewha Global Social Responsibility Institute stated, “The first ESG Internship Program cohort was not merely a group of participants, but important partners who helped build the institute’s initial operational foundation,” adding, “The initiative and execution demonstrated by the students will become a valuable asset in further expanding Ewha’s social contribution activities.” She also expressed her hopes that “this internship experience will serve as a foundation for students to practice sustainability and social responsibility in their future careers and lives,” and noted that “the institute plans to continue expanding student-participatory programs.”
