Seoul, A Participatory Festival of Light – Seoul Light Hangang Light Island Festival “Spectrum of Light.”서울, 빛으로 여는 참여형 축제― 서울라이트 한강 빛 섬 축제‘빛의 스펙트라’

In Seoul, the 2025 Seoul Light Hangang Light Island Festival is being held from October 3 (Friday) to October 12 (Sunday), highlighting new attempts to connect citizens with art. The “Spectrum of Light” university collaboration program, introduced for the first time this year, is a joint project where mid-career artists and students majoring in art and media art co-create and exhibit light-based artworks.

The works utilize artificial intelligence, projection mapping, and interactive technology, allowing citizens to experience the art directly. The project provides aspiring artists with practical experience and offers citizens an enjoyable way to engage with art.

The “Spectrum of Light” program, featuring Professor Lee Chang Won and a student team from the Department of Western Painting at the College of Art and Design, encompasses three key elements: art education, fostering emerging artists, and citizen-participatory cultural content. The program aims to further expand the significance of the festival.
