Ewha Womans University’s Startup Support Foundation held the ‘Global Startup Environment Exchange Program’ last August 29th (FRI). This event was an invitational training program in collaboration with the Korea Productivity Center’s International Cooperation Center, 12 people including officials from Senegal’s Ministry of Higher Education and ISEP. The program was prepared as a part of the ‘Establishment of Makerspace and Startup Incubation at Senegal Diamniadio ISEP Business’.
The exchange program was carried out in order of the following activities
- △ Introducing the Startup Support Foundation and Infrastructure at Ewha’s Startup Open Space
- △ Foundation President Kim Sangjun presenting ‘Strategies and Examples to Foster Women led Technology Startups’
- △ Exploring Startup Infrastructure within the school and Startup Booths and Tomorrow Lounge at ECC
The Senegalese higher officials were found to be deeply interested in Ewha Womans University’s Starup Support Infrastructure and startup cases led by women and searched for future possibilities to graft it with Senegal’s local startup policies and programs.
An official from the Startup Support Foundation quoted, “This exchange program enabled us to share Korea’s startup support cases and cases of fostering startups led by women,” and added “We will continue to exchange with the global startup ecosystem and expand Ewha’s ability to support startups.”
