Greetings,
The 31st Intercultural Dialogue will be held on Thursday, November 27, 2025, at 5:00 PM in Room B151, POSCO Building, Ewha Womans University.
The Intercultural Dialogue is co-hosted by the Center for Multicultural Research and the Office of International Affairs at Ewha Womans University.
The Intercultural Dialogue serves as a platform for open and respectful exchange of ideas among individuals and groups from diverse ethnic, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds, based on mutual understanding and respect. It is a communicative process that presupposes the freedom and ability to express oneself, as well as the willingness and capacity to listen to others (Council of Europe, 2008).
In this program, international students share their experiences of university life in their home countries and their lives as international students in Korea, creating a meaningful opportunity for warm communication and mutual learning under the theme of “Learn from each other.”
For Ewha students living in a global era, this event provides a valuable opportunity to cultivate cultural sensitivity and insight necessary to understand and embrace different cultures. It will be an enriching experience that adds depth and meaning to their lives.
For this session, our guest speaker will be Ms. Volkolup Yelyzaveta from Ukraine.
Ms. Volkolup Yelyzaveta is currently studying in the Department of Korean Language Education, College of Global Studies, at Ewha Womans University.
Through her story, we will gain meaningful insights into how individuals from different cultural backgrounds perceive the world, take a moment to suspend our own assumptions and judgments, and reflect critically on the perspectives we hold.
Everyone is welcome to attend.
A Q&A session will follow the talk to facilitate open and engaging communication.
We look forward to your interest and participation in making this a meaningful and rewarding event.
Sincerely,
Han-Up Jang
Director, Center for Multicultural Research
Ewha Womans University
