Greetings,
The 29th Intercultural Dialogue will be held on Monday, September 29, 2025, at 5:00 PM in Room B151, POSCO Building, Ewha Womans University.
The Intercultural Dialogue is co-hosted by the Institute for Multicultural Studies and the Office of International Affairs at Ewha Womans University.
Intercultural Dialogue is a space for open and respectful exchange of ideas, where individuals or groups from different ethnic, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds engage in mutual understanding and respect. It is a process based on the freedom and ability to express oneself and the willingness and capacity to listen to others (Council of Europe, 2008). In this event, international students will share their experiences of university life in their home countries and their study abroad experiences in Korea with Ewha students, creating a meaningful and warm space to “learn from each other.”
For Ewha students living in a global era, this will be a valuable opportunity to develop cultural sensitivity and insight in understanding and embracing other cultures. It will be a meaningful experience that will enrich their lives and give it greater value.
This time, the guest speaker will be Ms. Doan Anh Minh Trang from Vietnam, a current master’s student in Korean Language Education at the College of Education, Ewha Womans University.
Through her story, you will have a valuable opportunity to understand perspectives of people who view the world differently from us, to pause and reconsider your own judgments, and to question your own assumptions.
Everyone is welcome to attend.
A Q&A session will follow the talk to encourage open and free communication.
We look forward to your interest and participation in what promises to be a meaningful and enriching event.
Sincerely,
Han-Up Jang
