Notice for Replacing Student ID Card with a new design
As part of the Ewha Vision 2030+ development plan, the Office of Student Affairs opened a student ID design contest from May 2nd to July 25th, 2022. Students (excluding freshmen) and faculty members can replace their cards with a new design. |
1. Who can replace ID Card?
1) Students enrolled: Undergraduate and graduate students (excluding new students in the 23-1 semester who already received their student cards with new design)
2) Faculty: current faculty card holder in office in May 2023

※ After the application period ends, you must pay 5,000 won to reissue or replace your student ID card with a new design.
※ If you have not received it within the receipt period (by August 31, 2023), you must pay 5,000 won to get your student ID card. The student ID card will only be kept until December 31, 2023.
※ If you have not received it more than twice, you will not be able to reissue your student ID card online later, including during the replacement issuance period.
3. Detailed application method

※ Student Service Center: @ECC B303, Office hour 9 a.m~12 p.m. / 1 p.m.~ 5 p.m. (Lunch time: 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.)
※ When you receive a new student (identity) card, you must return the existing student ID card. If you do not return it, it will be considered as you lost prior student ID Card and will be charged 5,000 won in cash.
※ The use of the existing student ID card will be suspended during the student ID production period, so please adjust the date within the application period avoid any inconvenience with access, attendance (chapel, electronic attendance), and exams.
4. REMARKS
1) There is no additional charge for replacing your student ID card if you return your prior student ID card (only for the first replacement issue; 5,000 won will be charged for reissuance if the existing student ID card is not returned).
2) The existing silver-gray student ID card will be suspended during the student ID production period, so please make sure to apply within the application period so that there is no inconvenience when entering, attending (chapel, electronic attendance), and taking exams.
3) The access function update may take 1-2 hours after receiving the new card.
4) Other reissues other than replacement issuance (loss reissuance, chip damage, etc.) must be applied through the replacement issuance application process during the replacement issuance period (4.19~6.23) and cannot be issued with existing silver card materials.
5) It is issued as a student (identity) card without a bank function, and if necessary, you can visit Shinhan Bank (ECC B405) on campus to add a bank function.
6) Prepaid transportation card functionality (T Money) is built-in (not optional).
7) The amount of T-money charged on the existing check card must be exhausted/accounted for before applying for reissue (the amount cannot be returned if the balance is insufficient).
8) In principle, the student ID card must be received by the student themselves and cannot be received by proxy (mail/delivery is not allowed).
9) If you do not replace the photo, it will be issued as an ID photo saved in Eureka.
10) Students in GSIS, MBA, Graduate school of Education/Design/Social Welfare, Theology, Policy Science, Performing Arts, Clinical Biohealth, Clinical Dentistry, Data Science, can receive their New ID Card at the administrative office of GSIS, MBA, Graduate school of Education/Design/Social Welfare, Theology, Policy Science, Performing Arts, Clinical Biohealth, Clinical Dentistry, Data Science.
11) The expected date of receipt/approval through Eureka application will be processed the following day, weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., excluding weekends and holidays.
