Dae Seok Choi Professor Emeritus
Choi Dae Seok is currently a professor of North Korean Studies at Ewha Womans University, and was the director of Ewha Institute of Unification Studies from 2007 to January 2014. In January 2013, he was asked to serve as a member of the Presidential Transition Committee for President Park Geun-Hye. After receiving his doctorate in political Science from Claremont Graduate University in 1993, he became a research fellow at the Korean Institute for National Unification, a professor of Dongguk University, the president of the Association of North Korean Studies, and currently serves on policy advisory committee for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Choi's major work's include Modern Theory of North Korea's Polical System(2000), Histrical Relations of South and North Korea(2010)and Issues and Prospects of North Korean Defectors(2011).
