Minzee Kim Associate Professor

Minzee Kim is an assistant professor of sociology at Ewha Womans University. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota. She studies the interplay between globalization and law and their implications on the ground, particularly for women and children. She has published at SSCI journals on cross-national variations in and outcomes of state policies for various women’s and children’s issues such as children’s survival and development rights (Law & Society Review), education funding (Law & Social Inquiry), and child marriage and adolescent fertility (Law & Society Review). She also conducts research on youth development and transition to adulthood and has published on parental support during the transition to adulthood (Journal of Marriage & Family) and educational aspiration and underachievement (New Directions for Child and Adolescent Development). She currently serves on the editorial board of the Law & Society Review.
