Dr. Hyun Ae Woo is an assistant professor of the Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences. She attended Ewha Womans University, majoring Pharmacy, and receiving a B.S. degree in 1997 and M.S. degree in 1999. She received her Ph.D. in Division of Molecular Life Sciences, from Ewha Womans University in 2005. Her research has focused on the elucidation of the role of reactive oxygen species and antioxidant enzymes in cell signaling. She was rewarded the Society for Free Radical Research Asia for Young Scientist in 2006. And she also received the Bioneer New Generation Investigator Award in 2010, and the Fellowship of the Korean LOREAL-UNESCO Women Life Science Award in 2011.
