Usic Kim is Professor of Sociology, with a joint appointment in Interdisciplinary Graduate Program on Behavioral Socioeconomics. He holds a Ph.D. degree from Princeton University. His research focuses on economic sociology, social network, market theory and models, and quantitative methodology. He has contributed 40 research papers in academic journals including <Korean Journal of Sociology>, <Society and Theory> in Korean, and <International Journal of Law, Crime, and Justice>, <Sociological Theory and Methods> in English. Among the books he has written or edited include <Markets and Networks: Economic Sociology of Production Markets> (Ewha Womans University Press>, <The Cultural Industry System of Korea>(Jisik Madang), <The Cultural Industry System of United Kingdom>(Jisik Madang), <The Cultural Industry System of the U.S.A.>(Jisik Madang), <Social Netowrks in Korea>(Seoul National University Press), and <Social Change and Netowrks in Korea>(Seoul National University Press), all written in Korean.
