Won Jae Choi Assistant Professor
Department of Mechanical & Biomedical Engineering/ Graduate Program in System Health and Engineering
Professor Wonjae Choi received his Bachelor and Ph.D. degrees in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Seoul National University. He worked at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Seoul National University as a postdoc researcher, and joined Ewha Womans Universtiy as an assistant professor of Mechanical and Biomedical engineering. He researches renewable-based energy systems to decarbonize the planet, based on his knowledge of thermal and energy engineering. His research interests include hydrogen, which is expected to be used as one of major energy in future, natural gas as a transition fuel to zero emission, and energy storage to store intermittent renewable electricity. His work has been published as journal articles in various top energy journals, including Applied Energy and Energy. He serves as a director of Zero Emission Energy System Lab.
