Hongmin Zi Professor

Hongmin Zi, a professor of finance and insurance, received his degrees from Seoul National University (B.A., M.S.) and the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania (Ph.D.). He has also worked as a senior fellow at the Financial Institutions Center at the Wharton School since 1995. His research interests include insurance, pension, risk management and financial institutions. He received a best paper prize from Journal of Financial Intermediation in 2001, several awards from Korean academic journals, and best teaching awards from Ewha Womans University. He has served as a member of the committee of insurance fund management for the Ministry of Labor, the committee of voting right for the National Pension Service, and the advisory board for the Financial Supervisory Service of Korea. His bibliography has been listed in Marquis Who’s Who in the world since 2011.
