임장순(Im Jang soon) Assistant Professor
Korean Painting
Im, Jang soon conducts research on the conceptual framework and materiality of Korean painting within contemporary society. He has been the subject of exhibitions in numerous venues including Kumho Museum of Art, Youngeun Museum of Art, Haeum Museum, Seoul National University Museum of Art(SNU MOA), The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston(MFAH), etc. Im completed artist-in-residence programs at the MFAH Core Program, Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts, Lighthouse Works, MacDowell Colony, and Vermont Studio Center in the US; Kanazawa Art Port in Japan; and the Toji Cultural Foundation, Artist Residency Temi, Cheongju Art Studio, and Youngeun Art Studio Program in Korea.
