Ewha President Kim Heisook attended the University Leadership Forum as one of the representatives of the Korean universities and had a discussion with other panels such as Robert Zimmer, the President of the University of Chicago, and Timothy Killeen, the President of the University of Illinois System.

President Kim said, “By providing opportunities and environments for learning, education, and research, free from fossilized gender stereotypes, women's universities should be able to explore into new possibilities no one has ever imagined of,” and added, “I sincerely believe that Ewha Womans University will be a cradle for innovative thoughts and experiments in the years to come.”

Ewha Womans University ran its own information and recruiting booth at the event, promoting the university’s superb science and engineering programs to both Korean and American scientists from the US National Institutes of Health, the Ministry of Science and ICT of Korea, the University of California, Los Angeles and Perdue University, and providing counseling sessions regarding research and university-industry cooperation and recruitment.
