Learn Korean at Ewha: 2019 Global Summer Program

Marking the summer vacation, various global programs are held at the Ewha campus.

Starting from the opening ceremony on June 26, the ‘2019 Ewha International Summer College’ is held for six weeks. This is Korea’s first summer school program that started in 1971 and celebrates its 48th anniversary this year. Students from aboard can take a total of 32 theory as well as arts and physical practice courses and experience the Korean culture firsthand.

The ‘2019 Ewha-Harvard Summer School’, a summer program cohosted by Ewha Womans University Graduate School of International Studies and Harvard College, was opened on June 25. This is the only summer program that Harvard has co-organized with a Korean university since 2006. Participants in this program include not only Ewha and Harvard students but other students from universities that have entered an Ewha-Harvard credit exchange agreement. Korean language classes are also held for Harvard students.

The ‘2019 Ewha-CUHK Global Student Partnership (GSP)’, a program co-hosted by Ewha Womans University and the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), will start on July 25. Through this program that starts its initial session this summer, Ewha and CUHK students will hold academic and cultural conferences under the theme of ‘Connecting Culture and Minds in Asia’ at the Ewha campus in July and at the CUHK campus in August.

Talents from all around the world and Ewha students interact with another while strengthening their global competence at the campus of global Ewha.
