Ewha Ranks High in ‘The Times Higher Education Asia University Ranking’ and ‘Chosun-QS Asia University Ranking’

Ewha, who ranked 1st amongst Korean universities in the Leiden Ranking 2015, ranked highly in ‘The Times Higher Education Asia University Ranking’ and ‘Chosun-QS Asia University Ranking.’ Additionally, Ewha received profound scores in the 'Citation per paper’ indicator which proves the powerful impact of Ewha’s research.

On June 10th, Ewha was announced to be ranked 8th amongst Korean universities in The Asia University Ranking. It also ranked 53rd in Asian Universities which increased from 76th place last year.

The Asia University Rankings 2015 are based on the same criteria as the ‘The World University Rankings’ powered by Thomson Reuters. It judges world class universities across all of their core missions: teaching, research, citation, industry income and international outlook. Ewha saw a significant score increase in all 5 evaluation categories compared to last year.

Ewha also ranked 9th among Korean universities and 43rd among Asian universities from Asia's university evaluation compiled by the Chosun Ilbo and QS, global university evaluation institute of the U.K. The evaluation was conducted among 507 universities in 17 Asian countries.

The academic & employer reputation, research, academic support, international outlook were the determining factors which contributed to this outcome. Especially, Ewha ranked 1st place among Korean universities for citation counts from research papers, which showcases the direct impact of the university's research capacity. The overall ranking for Ewha's research capacity ranked 4th in Asia.
