The College of Art and Design (The Department of Design) signed MOU with The Hong Kong PolyU Design

The Department of Design of the College of Art and Design (Dean Kyung-sil Choi) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for academic exchange with The Hong Kong Polytechnic University School of Design on February 27. With this agreement, the two universities plan to operate various curricular and extracurricular programs and conduct academic exchange activities such as exhibitions and symposiums in the future.
The Hong Kong Polytechnic University is ranked 65th in the 2023 World University Rankings announced by QS. In particular, the Art and Design category is ranked 15th in the world university rankings, making it a prestigious university that is evaluated as a world-class university beyond Asia.
The agreement will last for the next two years from February 2024. As the first academic exchange activity, Spatial Design Major (Dean Yeon Jeong Kim) will conduct the '2024 Summer Professor-led Study Abroad Program: Hong Kong Old Downtown Urban Revitalization Project'. The workshop results are shared through online exhibitions and the global design magazine Dezeen. With this as a starting point, the two universities plan to conduct active academic exchange programs for sustainable development and nurturing global talents in the future.
