She received the prize for her English translation of “Sakuteiki,” a short story by novelist Ji-yeon Kim. (The short story is in Words Without Heart, Ji-yeon Kim’s short stories collection published by Munhakdongne in 2022) The judges commented that Noh’s translation is faithful to the subtleties of the original and maintains focus on the mood and tone of the story.
