Visit of Western Illinois University President to the Department of Music Therapy

On April 18th, Guiyou Huang, the President of Western Illinois University (WIU), visited Ewha Womans University to discuss potential collaborations with the Department of Music Therapy at the Graduate School (Director: Professor Hyun Ju Chong). President Huang expressed admiration for Ewha’s history and contributions to women's rights and education, noting that close cooperation between the two universities during this crucial period of global leadership would significantly enhance students’ skills and competencies. Through the visit, collaborative opportunities were discussed, including international student exchanges and joint research projects. In particular, the department of music therapy is actively considering an overseas music therapy internship program through networks with the department of music therapy at WIU. Both universities agreed to continue actively supporting their students through ongoing cooperation.
