Center for Multiculture Research Completed the Service of "Consulting and Development Plans Research on School Multicult

The Center for Multiculture Research (Director: Jang Han-up) completed the service of "Consulting and Development Plans Research on School Multicultural Education Curriculum" for Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education (2022.3-12).
This project was commissioned by the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education to realize field-oriented multicultural education by strengthening the adaptation of migrant students to school life, supporting basic education, and establishing and operating a multicultural education system for private cooperation.
The Center for Multiculture Research carried out the "Consultation and Development Plan for Multicultural Education Curriculum" service of this project, as well as "Analysis of results report and operation plan of Intercultural Understanding School," "Job training for Intercultural Education Managers and Teachers," and "Intercultural Understanding School Consulting."
Director Jang Han-up mentioned, "In the school field, members of different languages and cultures, including middle-income children, are increasing, so intercultural education is needed to give a positive solution to the various problems," adding, "I hope that various intercultural contents developed by the Center for Multiculture Research will be used in the educational field, especially in the school curriculum, to help improve the pending issues in the educational field."
The Center for Multiculture Research of wha Womans University is carrying out the projects of the Gyeonggi-do Office of Education for three consecutive years, in 2019, 2021 and 2022. In 2019, the center was in charge of the "Study on the Development of Intercultural Curriculum and Teaching/Learning Materials for the Special Zone for Education Internationalization in Gyeonggi-do" service, and in 2021, it completed the "Study on the Operation and Improvement of Intercultural Understanding School in Gyeonggi-do." In addition, for the second consecutive year in 2021 and 2022, under the theme of "Understanding and Practice of Mutual Culture Education," the center was entrusted with job training for the school managers and teachers of Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education.
