College of Nursing hosting the 2021 Nursing Medal Ceremony

Ewha College of Nursing held the Nursing Medal Ceremony for the 2021 school year at 2 p.m. on February 18 (Fri), 2022, and broadcasted the event online in real-time.


The ceremony was held in room 301 of Helen Hall, and was attended by the representatives of graduates, faculty members of Nursing College, Byun Eun Kyung, the president of the alumni association, and honorary professors, while graduates and their families participated online.


Beginning with hymns and prayers, The Nursing Medal Ceremony was followed by greetings from Kang Yoon Hee, the dean of the College of Nursing, and congratulatory remarks from Byun Eun Kyung, the president of the alumni association, Shin Kyung Rim, the president of the Korean Nurses Association, and Park In Sook, the president of the Seoul Nurses Association. Then the graduates were awarded medals by the professors of the College of Nursing and took the Nightingale Pledge, vowing to live their lives righteously and do their best in the nursing profession. Lastly, the outstanding graduates were awarded, including the College of Nursing President Award.

This Nursing Medal Ceremony was especially meaningful to the graduates since it was the first ceremony held three years after all events were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Kim Eun Kyu, a student representative, expressed her ambition, saying, “I hope to become a leader of the health workforce in Korea who contributes to the development of Korean nursing industry with the knowledge I learned from the College.”
