Prof. Shin-Hwa Park of the Department of Voice was awarded a music award at the 4th ‘Korean Christian Art Award’.

Korean Association of Christian Culture and Arts (from now on referred to as KACCA) established ‘the Korean Christian Art Award’ in 2017 to honor artists who contributed to Christian culture through their works or performances. The award includes 10 categories: artistic performance, dance, literature, painting, broadcasting, calligraphy, missionary work, poetry recitation, music, and publishing.

Prof. Shin-Hwa Park has released 107 choir CDs since 1997 when he joined Ewha and has experienced performance stages of more than 1000 times. He has participated in many international events, including the ACDA, the world's largest choir event. Since 2006, he has been a host of FEBC(Far East Broadcasting Company)’s <Seongga Sanchaek(a walk with a hymn)>. At the award, he won the prize in the music field thanks to his contribution to Christian culture and art. Professor Park said, "I'm flattered to receive such a big award. I will work harder to honor God."

At the award ceremony, which was held online due to the current pandemic, So Yeop Kim, president of the KACCA, said, "The winners have come all the way here in a lonely struggle." She said that, "I look forward to enjoying their work that will go down in history."
