The awards ceremony for the 2025 28th KOFIA International Fashion Illustration Competition, hosted and organized by the Korea Fashion Illustration Association (KOFIA), was held on Friday, December 19, at the main conference hall of Chung-Ang University in Seoul. This year’s competition, sponsored by brands including MCM, DÉMOO, PARTsPARTs, and KODAK APPAREL, attracted a total of 603 entries from Korea and abroad. Winning works were selected through expert evaluation based on criteria such as originality, creative interpretation of the theme, level of completion, and suitability for the fashion illustration genre.

Building on this valuable experience, I hope to continue exploring a wide range of creative attempts in the future.” She also expressed her gratitude, saying, “I sincerely thank the judges for this wonderful opportunity and the professors who guided me throughout the process.” Seol Jae-eun, a member of the Class of 2023, received the Excellence Award for her work “Neon Tribe.” Reflecting on her creative process, she commented, “Visualizing three-dimensional elements on a flat surface became an opportunity for me to build my own new worldview toward my work.”
Kim Mihyun, President of the Korea Fashion Illustration Association and Professor of Fashion Design at Chung-Ang University, remarked, “Now in its 28th year, this competition has produced numerous emerging designers and artists, establishing the artistic value of fashion illustration and solidifying its status as a gateway for global talent.” She continued, “The passion and challenges shown by all participants, as well as by those who earned awards through a rigorous judging process, represent the competitiveness of Korea’s fashion industry. I believe today’s event is a moment to collectively recognize that potential.”
