Ewha Womans University Campus Town Project Team announced that from August 19 (TUE) through August 21 (THU), it successfully ran an educational program called Ewha Startup ABC Frontier Class, designed for undergraduate/graduate students or prospective entrepreneurs with interest in AI technology.
The program was conducted in collaboration with Moduui Yeonguso Co., Ltd., which is leading innovation in AI/SW education, under the theme “build your own AI service in three days.” A total of 31 participants, including undergraduates, prospective startup founders, and companies located in the Campus Town, also took part.
On the first day, participants learned the concepts of generative AI and agents and had a chance to experience various AI tools and use-cases. By combining foundational learning with hands-on exercises, they set the first steppingstone toward AI entrepreneurship. On the second day, with team building, participants designed AI services and produced prototypes that combined their majors and areas of interest which are practical training and also mentoring were provided to enhance their sense of real-world work. On the final day, team project presentations and demonstrations were held. Kim Seungil, chief executive officer of Moduui Yeonguso, delivered a special lecture on “surviving in the age of generative AI,” offering insights and strategies that participants should equip themselves with and it was very well received.
Although the period was brief, participants expressed high satisfaction with being able to intensely plan and develop an actual AI service and greatly improve their startup competence through team‐based collaboration. In addition, outstanding teams that complete the program will receive expert mentoring in the AI field over two months to further refine their project deliverables, with an opportunity to make a final presentation at the technology/AI-related conference “2025 Modoocon,” to be held in December.
Professor Kim Sangjun, Director of the Ewha Womans University Entrepreneurship Support Group and General Head of the Campus Town Project, mentioned, “As AI is now a core engine of national growth, we plan to continue expanding educational programs for AI entrepreneurship and strengthening tailored support for AI-based startups, in order to build an AI-specialized startup ecosystem.”
